The St Lucie County Fire District has recently issued a Burn Ban for our entire county until further notice. We are currently experiencing a prolonged period of abnormally low rainfall and drought conditions. Any small fire or spark or cigarette butt tossed out unto the dry ground could start a mass fire.
Fireworks are also banned by the county. However, Bar B Que’s are permitted. The County is requesting that you use only propane fuel instead of charcoal, which is safer. Anyone caught disobeying the Burn Ban will be reported to the County Sheriff’s Office who is responsible for policing the laws.

Thank you for your cooperation!
